Thermal Fogging
A deodorization method using heated solvent-based solutions.
Definition
Thermal fogging is a professional deodorization technique used to neutralize smoke odors after a fire. A thermal fogger heats a solvent-based deodorizing solution until it vaporizes into a dry fog of tiny particles. These particles penetrate the same areas smoke did, chemically neutralizing odor molecules. The fog can reach into cracks, crevices, fabrics, and other porous materials where smoke odors hide. Thermal fogging is typically used in conjunction with other deodorization methods for complete odor removal.
