Removing contents from a property for off-site restoration.
Back to Glossary
Definition
A pack-out is the process of carefully inventorying, packing, and removing contents from a damaged property for cleaning, restoration, or storage at an off-site facility. Pack-outs are performed when on-site restoration isn't possible due to extensive damage, ongoing repairs, or safety concerns. Each item is documented with detailed inventory lists and photographs. After restoration is complete, contents are returned and placed in their original locations (pack-back).
