Desiccant Dehumidifier
Dehumidifier using chemical absorption to remove moisture.
Definition
A desiccant dehumidifier removes moisture from air using a desiccant material (typically silica gel) that chemically attracts and holds water vapor. Unlike refrigerant dehumidifiers, desiccants work efficiently in cold temperatures and can achieve very low humidity levels. They're particularly useful for drying in cold environments where refrigerant units lose efficiency. Desiccant dehumidifiers are often used in combination with refrigerant units for optimal drying in challenging conditions.
